• An insurance cover of up to Rs. 5 lakhs for all tertiary and secondary medical facilities.
• All pre-existing ailments are also covered under this scheme. 
• The scheme will cover even the in-laws and any physically challenged members of the family. 
• The State Government will pay the premium of the insurance. 
• The scheme will pay for medicines, diagnostics, and other medical care from a day before the hospitalization till 5 days post-surgery or post-treatment. 

Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme

• All the residents of West Bengal are entitled to benefits from the scheme after getting registered with it.
• The applicants must not be a part of any other Government medical scheme.
• Candidates who get medical benefits as a part of their wages are not eligible for this scheme.

Step – 2 – You will find the option of Apply Online on the homepage under which you have to click on Online Application for Swasthya Sathi Scheme.

Swasthya Sathi Scheme Health Card 2024

Registered family members under the scheme will get a health card in which all the details of the members covered under the scheme are mentioned. The beneficiary can also use this card in different private hospitals of the state. To get started with the Health Card, you must verify the card first. 

Step – 1 – On the official portal, click on Card Verification on the homepage. 

Step – 2 – Select your District and provide the URN number that you have received during registration. 

Step – 3 – Submit the details to complete the verification and get the status of your card. 

Android App

The scheme portal is also available in the form of an Android smartphone application for the beneficiaries. You can use the application for several benefits such as hospital information, healthcare services, URN verification, doctor’s information, Swasthya Sathi packages, added amenities, and many more.
