RBI 90 Quiz Registration 2024: The RBI Quiz Competition, formally known as RBI90Quiz, is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to win cash prizes. The Reserve Bank of India released a notification on 20 August 2024 about the start of this quiz competition for all college-going undergraduates. The RBI started this quiz competition on the occasion of its 90th year in the country. The quiz will be a multi-leveled General Knowledge quiz, which will finally end at the National Level. 

Sri Shaktikanta Das, the Governor of India, mentioned that this quiz will help raise youngsters’ awareness of the RBI. In regard to the rising financial and digital fraudulence, this quiz competition will motivate the country’s young generation to tackle such cases with confidence. Moreover, it will inculcate safe and secure usage of financial and digital products.

Eligibility Criteria for the Quiz

Here are some of the eminent eligibility criteria that the participants of the RBI Quiz Competition should follow. 

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Must be a part of a Bachelor’s degree program in any recognized college and under any stream.
• The applicants must not exceed 25 years of age as of 1st September 2024. 
• RBI employees and their immediate families or families of the quiz organizers will not be eligible for participation.

RBI Quiz Registration Guidelines 2024

Before you continue to register for the quiz, here are some essential guidelines that you must know about.

• The quiz will be held in teams in which there should be a maximum of 2 candidates from the same college. 
• There is no limit on the number of teams registering from a single college. 
• There is no registration fee for the quiz.
• If the college of a team is not there on the list, the participants can submit the college details through the Colleges Tab, Contact Us Form, Helpline, and Live Chat. The participants will be notified through email when their college is added to the list. 
• Both the participants of the team should provide their details such as name, gender, birth date as on Class 10th Certificate, Student ID number of the college, mobile number, and email ID for verification. 
• The registration can be deleted for a fresh one if any of the participants in the team needs to be changed.
• Visually impaired candidates must notify about their impairment by selecting the option mentioned during registration. Documents will be required for verification. 
• After the verification, both team members will get login credentials that they can use to start the quiz. 

Documents Required  for the Quiz

Apart from the guidelines, you must also know about the documents that you have to submit during the in-person round, which takes place offline. Here is a list of documents to carry along.

• Identification proof in the form of a College ID or Aadhar Card
• Class 10th Certificate for birth date.
• College ID to prove you are a student of that particular college. 
• Passport-sized photographs
• Certificate to acknowledge if you have opted for the option for Visually-Impaired candidate. 

RBI 90 Quiz Competition Registration Process 2024

Once you are aware of the Registration Guidelines and documents to carry, here is the process through which you can register for the quiz. 

Step – 1 – You can click on the link https://www.rbi90quiz.in/rules to land on the registration page directly. 

Step – 2 – Go through the Rules and then click on the Register button at the bottom.

Step – 3 – Start by entering your State/ Union Territory, District, and College.

Step – 4 – In case if you do not find your college in the list, click on ‘Register here’ offered at the bottom of the college box to register your college. 

Step – 5 – Next, enter the details of both the team members.

Step – 6 – If you are visually impaired, click on the given box while entering individual details.

Step – 7 – Click on the confirmation box, stating that you abide by the rules set by RBI for the quiz.

Step – 8 – Go through the details once again and hit the Submit button. 

You can receive a confirmation message or email soon with your registered contact information. 

How To Register Your College?

Many students may not find their college in the list while registering themselves for the quiz. Such candidates can submit their college details to get on the list and then register. Here is the process to do so. 

Step – 1 – On the registration form page, click on the Register Here option just below the College box.

Step – 2 – Enter your name and select your designation from the given options.

Step – 3 – Enter your email and phone number.

Step – 4 – Enter college details in the message section and submit it. 

You will receive an email once your college is added and then you can register for the quiz. 

RBI Quiz Competition Format 2024

RBI has released the quiz format for the participants to understand and prepare for the quiz even better. 

• The quiz will take place in teams of 2 members and both the team members have to answer the quiz from a single device together. 
• The participants will have to answer a total of 36 multiple-choice questions.
• It is a time-bound quiz where the participants must answer each question within 25 seconds, while visually impaired candidates will get an additional 25 seconds on each question. 
• You can choose your preferred language from English and Hindi.
• For each correct question, you will earn 1 point and there is no penalty for wrong answers.

RBI will launch sample quizzes also on its portal so that the participants can practice to get better at time management and other aspects of the quiz.  

RBI Quiz Tie Breaker Rules

In case of a tie-breaker situation, the decision will be made based on these factors. Three attempts will be made one by one to choose a clear winner. For example, if the tie does not break after the 1st attempt, then the 2nd attempt will be required. Similarly, if the 2nd attempt also fails, then the 3rd attempt will be required to decide the winner. Here are the 3 attempt methods to break a tie. 

First Attempt	Time is taken to complete the quiz. The time taken by visually impaired candidates will be halved to match the usual candidates.
Second Attempt	The number of difficult questions answered correctly.
Third Attempt	Time taken to complete the difficult questions correctly.

Technical Requirements

The RBI90 Quiz Competition will be an online challenge. However, there will be certain technical requirements that the participants must accept for the quiz. 

• The quiz can be started on any internet browser using Desktop, Mobile or Laptop.
• Certain functions such as right-clicking, opening a new tab, or copying are disabled during the quiz.
• Not following the technical requirement in between will lead to auto-submission of the quiz. 

Selection Process

The RBI will conduct a thorough selection process after the registration of the participants is done. 

• There will be a maximum of 2 candidates in every team and a maximum of 2 teams from each college for the State-level in-person round (offline mode). 
• Once the teams qualify for the State-level quiz, the expenses of the participants traveling to participate in the Zonal and National Levels will be taken care of by RBI to a fixed limit.
