The State Government of Himachal Pradesh took the initiative of Beti Hai Anmol Yojana for the girl children of the state. The scheme is available for up to 2 girl children in families belonging to the BPL sections of the state. Starting in the year 2010, the scheme has extended its financial assistance to lakhs of girl children in the state. The motive of the scheme is to reduce the concept of female foeticide and child marriage in the state.

Objectives of Beti Hai Anmol Yojana

The State Government of Himachal Pradesh has started the Beti Anmol Yojana with several objectives:

• To control negative impacts on girl children such as female foeticide and child marriage.
• Encouraging girls to complete their education for a better lifestyle
• Scholarships for books and dress and other necessities for education
• Empowering the girls to pursue income genetive activities in the future
• Offering financial support to the girls of the state

Benefits of Beti Hai Anmol Yojana

Under the Bati Anmol Yojana, the eligible and registered girls of Himachal Pradesh will avail these financial benefits. 

At Birth	Rs. 21,000/-
From Class 1 to Class 3	Rs. 450/- per year
Class 4	Rs. 750/- per year
Class 5	Rs. 900/- per year
Class 6 & 7	Rs. 1050/- per year
Class 8	Rs. 1200/- per year
Class 9 & 10	Rs. 1500/- per year
Class 11 & 12	Rs. 2250 per year

Beti Hai Anmol Yojana: Eligibility

Only eligible candidates can avail of the benefits under the Beti Hai Anmol Yojana. So, here are the eligibility criteria for the applicants. 

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh
• The girl child should be from a family that lies below the poverty line in the state
• Only two girl children from one family will be eligible. 
• Girls who took birth after 5th July 2010 can only avail the benefits of this scheme
• The eligible candidates should not get married before 18 years of age

Beti Hai Anmol Yojana Online Apply Process 2024

The eligible applicants of the Beti hai Anmol Yojana can apply online through this method. 

Step – 1 – Go to the official portal at Himachal Pradesh Government by clicking here.

Step – 2 – Click on the Sign Up box to create your Login credentials.

Step – 3 – Select the ID card you want to use and provide its details
Step – 4 – Offer consent and proceed to complete the registration process

Step – 5 – After creating your profile, click on Login to Apply on the main page

Step – 6 – You can log in through username, mobile number, or Aadhar number

Step – 7 – After you enter the profile, fill up the application form 

Step – 8 – Upload the necessary documents and submit the application form

Step – 9 – Process through the application fee page (the application fee is zero for this scheme)

Step – 10 – Download the confirmation receipt

You can even apply for the scheme offline by collecting the application form from the nearest Aaganwadi center. Fill up the form and submit it to the Aaganwadi center only along with the necessary documents. 

Documents Required for Beti Hai Anmol Yojana

You must submit the necessary documents with the application form to register for the scheme. Here are the documents that you must submit in scanned form. 

• Proof of Himachal Pradesh residence
• BPL Certificate of the family
• The applicant’s date of birth certificate
• Letter from the applicant’s Head Master of School
• Identity Proof of the applicant
